چکیده
CTCL: cutaneous T-cell lymphoma FOLFOX: folinic acid, fluorouracil, oxaliplatin MF: mycosis fungoides INTRODUCTION Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the most common type of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). The neoplastic T cells in MF are usually mature CD4 T cells, and CD8 phenotype expression is rarely observed. There are 2 categories of CD8 CTCL, one with aggressive behavior and one with indolent behavior. We report a rare case of suddenly aggravated CD8 MF that was found to be associated with a hidden adenocarcinoma in the colon.

The role of chemokines and chemokine receptors in mycosis fungoides
Background: Chemokines are a family of cytokines initially characterized by their capacity to induce chemotaxis, or directed leukocyte migrations. These receptors are activated by chemotactic cytokines called chemokines. Interactions between chemokines and chemokine receptors also are involved in tumorigenesis, migration and invasion of lymphoma cells. Methods: An English literature search...
متن کاملCluster of differentiation (CD) markers in erythrodermic patients: A case series study
Background: Erythroderma is an inflammatory disorder. It has various differential diagnoses, among which one of the most important is mycosis fungoides. Erythroderma itself can be a challenging disorder. Diagnosis of a mycosis fungoides patient presenting with erythroderma specially requires a careful assessment of the peripheral blood. Studies such as CD markers can lead to a more accura...
متن کاملHypopigmented mycosis fungoides: a review of its clinical features and pathophysiology*
Several distinct clinical forms of mycosis fungoides have been described. Hypopigmented mycosis fungoides should be regarded as a subtype of mycosis fungoides, insofar as it presents some peculiar characteristics that contrast with the clinical features of the classical form. Most patients with hypopigmented mycosis fungoides are younger than patients typically diagnosed with classical mycosis ...

متن کاملEvaluation of Variant Lymphocyte Count in Peripheral Blood Smear of Patients with Mycosis Fungoides and Its Comparison with the Normal Population
Background and Objective: Mycosis fungoides is a neoplastic skin disorder whose underlying cause is not yet fully understood. There are hypotheses about the possible effect of viral agents on the development of mycosis fungoids that have not yet been proven. The present study aimed to evaluate the lymphocyte variant in peripheral blood smear of patients with mycosis fungoides fungoids to determ...
